Why do I need The Killer Pitch?

Doesn't a P.R. firm do this for me?

Some large P.R. firms do offer messaging and positioning services in addition to their P.R. work but at The Killer Pitch, core message refinement and the 4-P's are the only thing we do. This allows us to work 1-on-1 with entrepreneurs to make sure you've refined your message and identity without rushing you into a P.R. or marketing campaign.

Is The Killer Pitch a P.R. firm?

No, The Killer Pitch often partners with P.R. firms when our clients are ready for press. We focus solely on core communications.

In your copywriting tutorial you said nobody will evangelize my company better than me – the entrepreneur. Your services seem to contradict that.

I stand by my video tutorial. You SHOULD be the best evangelist for your company. Unfortunately, many people don't have the writing experience or just need help separating their message from the details. One of our goals when working with clients is to help you become a highly effective company advocate.

I have a good copywriter. How are your writing services different?

A good copywriter is invaluable and if you're happy with your web and printed communications, you might want to stick with them. At TKP we write with the reader in mind. After several years of writing for business magazines, I understand how to turn the facts of your business or situation into a story that will keep people engaged.

What's the difference between "Refining my Pitch" and the Presentation and Platform Training?

In a nutshell, the Pitch is actual the message while the Platform and Presentation is how you deliver that message to an audience. Since I do most of this work 1-on-1 with clients there is usually some overlap between the two.

Is The Killer Pitch a marketing firm?

No, TKP helps you refine your message and your presentation before looking for outside marketing help. Once you know what to pitch and how to present it, TKP can partner with social marketing firms to help you spread the word.

I just don't think I can afford to spend money on refining my core messaging.

How much will it cost you to pay for a tradeshow only to get poor results because people don't understand your value?
